DISPLAYS
Whitchurch is Shropshire's only town to be continually
inhabited on the same site since being built in Roman times.
A settlement was founded by the Romans on the major route between Chester and Wroxeter called MEDIOLANUM, meaning the place in the middle of the plain.
The current displays, exhibits, and activities in the Heritage Centre reflect the town's historic roots.
